Join the heart of Rio for an inspiring day on October 18, 2026, as Copacabana transforms into a sea of solidarity during the Run and Walk Against Hunger. This annual event not only celebrates physical fitness but also raises vital funds to combat hunger across Brazil through Ação da Cidadania's ongoing initiatives. Participants can choose from three distances: a challenging 10 km run, a more relaxed 5 km option for runners, or a family-friendly 1 km walk. The race starts and finishes along the iconic Av. Atlântica in front of Praça do Lido, offering stunning views of the ocean throughout. Every participant will receive an official event kit including a unisex t-shirt (sizes P to XG), a gymsack, a timing chip embedded within their bib number for accurate results, and a finisher's medal upon completion. Detailed instructions on how and when to collect your kit will be shared through Ação da Cidadania’s social media channels in the lead-up to the event. This year marks the kickoff of Natal Sem Fome, Latin America's largest food donation campaign, making this race an integral part of a wider movement for change.
