CORRIDA KIDS - ACADEMIA DA TIA ANINHA

On October 18, 2026, the Centro de Américo Brasiliense will host a unique and engaging race designed specifically for young athletes. This family-friendly event aims to introduce children aged between three and fifteen years old to the joy of running while promoting physical activity in the community.
The race day begins at 8:00 AM with staggered start times based on age categories, ensuring that each participant has a safe and enjoyable experience. The starting line is set along Rua Ribeiro de Barros, where families can gather early to cheer for their young runners.
Participants will compete in distances tailored to their age group:
- 3 to 5 years old: 100 meters
- 6 to 8 years old: 400 meters
- 9 to 11 years old: 1,000 meters
- 12 to 15 years old: 2,000 meters
Each child will receive a kit including an official race t-shirt, timing chip, visor, bib number, and safety pins. The kits can be picked up on October 17 from 13:00 to 20:00 at Rua Dom Pedro II.
Parents are encouraged to have their children undergo medical evaluations before the event to ensure they are physically prepared for participation. On race day, all participants must wear their provided t-shirts and bring a valid ID along with proof of payment.
In addition to the competitive spirit, there's also an element of fun with a bike giveaway for one lucky participant among those who register online by October 16th at www.eventwebsite.com. Medals are awarded to everyone who completes the race, while trophies go to the top five finishers in the oldest category (ages 12-15).
This event promises an exciting day filled with youthful energy and community support along Ribeiro de Barros Street.
