COUËRON DUATHLON - 2026

Returning for its third edition, the Duathlon of Couëron promises another day filled with sport and camaraderie on October 4, 2026. Nestled between the Loire River and Audubon Marsh, this unique race features an unmissable course: a run (5 km), followed by cycling (20 km) and concluding with another short run (2.5 km). The route takes participants through iconic landmarks that make this event memorable—the house in the water, the plumb tower, and breathtaking views of both riverbanks and marshland.
Accessibility is at the heart of this race: it offers one of the most affordable registrations in the region without compromising on quality. In 2025, duathletes rated the event a solid 8.9 out of 10 for its affordability and experience. For younger participants, there are specially adapted formats:
- Duathlon Jeune (Ages 11-15): A taste of the full duathlon with a run of 1 km, cycling over 5 km, followed by another short run of 500 meters.
- Course Enfants (Ages 6-10): An enjoyable 1-kilometer fun run that allows kids to experience racing at their own pace and in good spirits.
This year, the race also aims to give back to the community. The event supports IASO Nantes, a local association dedicated to fighting breast cancer and providing support for women affected by it during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Octobre Rose). Participants can make voluntary donations directly through registration; all funds collected will go towards supporting IASO's efforts on the ground.
