The Cité-Limoilou Run is an urban and artistic challenge in the heart of Québec City. This unique event brings together families, street artists, architecture enthusiasts, and runners alike. The course features live music performances and displays by street artists such as balloon sculptors and face painters, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout. Participants can choose from various distances tailored to all ages: 1 km, 1.5 km, and 2 km for the younger crowd, while more experienced runners can tackle the 5 km with or without strollers or opt for the full 10 km race. The course weaves through the charming streets of Vieux-Limoilou, particularly along the 2nd and 3rd Avenues—two of Québec’s most picturesque neighborhoods. In a bid to promote sustainability, the organizers have eliminated single-use cups at aid stations in 2023. This initiative aligns with their ongoing commitment to preserving the event's integrity while fostering an eco-friendly environment. By avoiding approximately 480 liters of waste, they are setting a positive example for other events. For post-race refreshment, local producers supply treats, supporting regional businesses and enhancing the community experience. Runners can also enjoy peace of mind with flexible registration policies: refunds up to 30 days before the event or transfers/upgrades until 15 days prior. Join this lively celebration where every step is steeped in history and creativity, making it a must-attend for both seasoned runners and newcomers alike.
