CraggRunner Sprint 5k

Dive into the heart of running excitement at the CraggRunner Sprint 5K, set to take place in 2026 at Steven Burke Cycle Hub. This dynamic race offers both seasoned runners and newcomers an exhilarating opportunity to challenge themselves on a flat course designed for personal bests.
Competitors can choose from four distinct events or opt to complete all of them throughout the year. The event schedule accommodates various skill levels, with six races running every half hour starting at 1 PM. Participants are assigned start times based on their predicted pace, ensuring that everyone has a fair and competitive experience.
Junior runners aged 14 years old and under can also join in for specially designed distances: u10 (1k), u12 (2k), and u14 (3k). These races kick off at 11:30 AM with medals awarded to the top three boys and girls in each category. The junior race series does not offer overall prizes, but it promises an engaging day of racing.
The event features chip timing by 'TIME MY RACE,' ensuring accurate results that are linked to Run Britain and Power of 10 databases for easy tracking and recognition among fellow runners.
While parking is limited on the Sport Hub field due to seasonal constraints, ample roadside spots around local areas provide convenient alternatives. Portable toilets will be available at the venue along with water stations before and after each race to keep everyone hydrated and comfortable throughout the day.
