Cranford's Independence Day tradition returns for its 47th year on July 4, 2026. The annual road race and fun run kicks off at Nomahegan Park, offering runners of all ages a scenic course through the heart of Cranford, New Jersey.
Participants can choose between a classic 4-mile route or a family-friendly 1-mile fun run, both featuring picturesque views and a vibrant community atmosphere. Every runner receives a race shirt equipped with a chip timer for accurate results. Completing the 4-mile distance also earns you a commemorative pint glass to celebrate your achievement.
Proceeds from this event support Cranford Jaycees' scholarship programs, fostering educational opportunities within the local community. Whether you're in town or joining remotely, all participants will receive race swag including a tech shirt and souvenir pint glass. However, out-of-town runners must pick up their items locally during pre-race pickup times; virtual results won't be officially recorded.
