Ballymena Rugby Club invites you to join a unique fundraising initiative set against the backdrop of mental health awareness. On Friday, August 28th at 6:30pm, men are invited to participate in a two-mile fun run designed specifically for pairs. Each duo will carry a beer crate throughout the race, fostering an environment where conversations about mental well-being can take place naturally and comfortably.
This event is not just a physical challenge but also a platform for dialogue, encouraging participants to discuss their experiences with depression and other mental health issues in a casual setting rather than through formal channels. The light-hearted nature of the run aims to reduce stigma while promoting open communication between friends or colleagues.
The race begins at Ballymena Rugby Club, offering runners not only an opportunity to support a worthy cause but also to enjoy the camaraderie that comes with such events. Entry is priced at £20 per person and includes access to a barbecue after the run; however, spectators will need to purchase their own meal separately.
