The Modern Skaters Club of Wilrijk, founded in 1921, invites skaters from all over Flanders to participate in their annual roller skating race weekend. This beloved community event takes place on September 12 and 13, 2026, featuring races designed for both recreational and competitive skaters.
On Saturday, the action begins at Berkenveldplein in Wilrijk with a rink hockey field as the backdrop. The day's program includes four rounds of racing for Recreant Mini and Midi categories, where these young participants will skate alongside more experienced competitors from the Miniemen and Pupillen groups. Each lap measures 80 meters.
The following day, Sunday, skaters head to Moerelei 117 in Wilrijk's Wielercentrum Antwerpen for a slightly longer challenge. Recreant Mini, Midi, and Maxi participants will compete in three rounds each against their age-appropriate groups: Miniemen, Pupillen, Cadetten, Jeugd, Seniores, or Liefhebbers. The track here measures 275 meters per lap.
Both days offer a supportive environment where skaters can enjoy the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts and push themselves to improve their skills. Spectators will find ample parking under the bridge near Berkenveldplein on Saturday for easy access to the event.
Race results are available through Race Result or Sportity platforms, ensuring participants have timely updates throughout both days.
