On January 10th, 2027, the heart of winter transforms into an exhilarating arena for cyclists and enthusiasts as the annual Cyclo-cross race takes place. This year's edition features three distinct courses tailored to different age groups and skill levels. The first course starts at 12:30 PM with a duration of 40 minutes. It welcomes male participants aged 60 years or older, born in 1967 or earlier, alongside male athletes between the ages of 50 and 59 who were born from 1968 to 1977. This challenging course is designed for seasoned riders looking for a rigorous test on varied terrain. Following closely at 1:30 PM, the second race kicks off with a duration of 35 minutes specifically aimed at younger competitors. Male athletes aged between 15 and 16 who were born in either 2011 or 2012 are invited to participate. For those born from 2013 onwards looking for an opportunity, parents can request surclassing by contacting brunocavelier84@gmail.com. Shortly after the conclusion of this race at 1:53 PM begins a women's event with the same duration as the men’s race before it. This segment includes female participants aged 50 and older who were born in or before 1977, alongside those between the ages of 40 to 49 (born from 1978 to 1987) and women ranging from 30 to 39 years old (born from 1988 to 1997). Additionally, young female athletes aged 15-29 are also invited with the same surclassing option available for those born in or after 2013. The day concludes at 2:30 PM with a third course designed specifically for male riders. This race spans 50 minutes and is open to men between the ages of 40-49 (born from 1978 to 1987), as well as those in their thirties (from 1988 to 1997) and young adults aged 17-29 who were born after 1998. Each race promises a unique blend of technical challenges, including steep climbs, muddy sections, and tight turns that test the agility and endurance of all participants. The cyclo-cross event is not just about competition; it's an opportunity to experience camaraderie among cyclists while enjoying the scenic winter landscapes. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a young rider looking for your first taste of competitive cycling, this race offers something special for everyone involved.
