Dalemain 10km Trail Run, Childrens 3.3k & 2.3k Fun Run

Nestled within the picturesque landscapes of Penrith, the Dalemain Trail Run and Fun Runs offer participants an unforgettable day out at Dalemain Mansion. This year’s race not only promises scenic beauty but also contributes to meaningful causes by raising funds for Jigsaw Children's Hospice as well as other initiatives supported by the local Penrith Rotary Club.
The event kicks off with free parking available on-site, along with convenient restroom facilities located near Race HQ at Dalemain Mansion. Light refreshments will be served in the mansion’s cafe starting from 10am, ensuring runners and spectators have a warm welcome to start their day.
Medical assistance is provided by St John's Ambulance throughout the event, offering peace of mind for all participants as they enjoy the carefully marked courses that are well-supported with marshals along the way.
For those looking to challenge themselves over longer distances, the 10km Trail Run offers a two-lap course around the expansive Dalemain Mansion Estate grounds. The trail winds through scenic paths and open fields, providing runners with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Registration for this event opens at 9:30am, leading up to a start time of 11:00 am. All participants will receive medals upon completion, while top finishers in both age categories and veteran classes will be awarded commemorative medals.
On another note, two fun runs cater specifically to younger runners. The first is the 3.3km Children's Fun Run for kids aged between 9 and 14 years old, which takes place on a one-lap course around the mansion grounds starting at 11:15 am. All entrants must be accompanied by an adult.
For even younger participants, there’s a shorter but equally enjoyable option—the 2.3km Children's Fun Run for children aged between 4 and 8 years old. This run also starts promptly at 11:15 am and follows the same one-lap route around Dalemain Mansion grounds. Both fun runs provide medals to all participants, with additional commemorative awards given to the top three finishers.
