DARK RUN

On October 31, 2026, runners will gather at the Ceret sports complex on Av. Canuto de Abreu for an exhilarating night race that combines fitness with Halloween spirit. The event features two distances: a quick and spirited 4 km loop or a more challenging 8 km double lap around the same course. Participants are encouraged to embrace the spooky theme by dressing up in creative costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The race begins at 7 PM sharp, but runners should arrive early for check-in starting from 4 PM. The event is limited to just 1,000 athletes and offers a unique nighttime experience with fast-paced running under illuminated city streets adorned with Halloween decorations.
Runners will receive a kit including an official shirt (with sizes ranging from baby to extra-large), race number, chip timing device, and medal upon completion of their chosen distance. Early registration is recommended as prices increase across three different lots leading up to the event date.
In addition to competitive categories for overall male and female winners in both distances, there's also a special award for the top three best-dressed runners in costume. The race promises an exciting evening filled with adrenaline and fun under the night sky of Rio de Janeiro.
