Running Never Dies: Day of the Dead 5K and Half Marathon invites runners to experience Flushing Meadows Corona Park on October 25, 2026. Participants can choose between a scenic 5K or half marathon route through this iconic Queens park. The event celebrates cultural traditions with vibrant costumes and festive decorations inspired by Dia de los Muertos. Racegoers will receive custom Day of the Dead shirts and finisher medals to commemorate their participation. All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water provide delicious snacks for runners along the course, adding a delightful touch of flavor to the day’s activities. In addition to the main events, there is also a free Kiddie Dash starting 30 minutes before the race near the common finish line, giving young participants an opportunity to join in on the fun. The event encourages runners to embrace their creativity with elaborate costumes and decorations. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume based on votes from fellow racers. With pacers available to help guide you towards your goals, whether it’s a personal record or simply finishing strong, this race offers both challenge and community spirit in equal measure.
