Dé Lampionnenoptocht van Tiel!

Join us on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM for the third edition of Tiel's Lampionnenoptocht! After last year’s tremendous success, this beloved tradition is back and ready to enchant you once again. This event began as a creative idea following the successful Avondvierdaagse van Tiel!, and it has since grown into an integral part of Tiel's cultural calendar.
The Lampionnenoptocht is designed to be short and accessible for everyone, making it perfect whether you're walking with your children holding their favorite lanterns or joining as a group of friends. The route offers something special for all ages—vibrant witches, friendly ghouls, grandparents, parents, and kids are welcome to participate.
As the sun sets on this autumn evening, expect enchanting surprises along the way, including delightful light displays and memorable moments that make walking just around town feel like an extraordinary experience. Gather at 5:45 PM with your lanterns in hand near our friends at TSV Theole for a warm-up before setting off together.
The route takes you through charming neighborhoods under the glow of twilight as you stroll along illuminated paths, creating unforgettable memories and connections within the community. A cozy break will be held halfway at Tielse Hockeyclub THCC De Kromhouters, where participants can rest their legs and enjoy some refreshments in a friendly atmosphere before continuing on to the finish line.
The event concludes with more fun surprises and celebrations that capture the essence of this magical evening. Don't miss out on being part of Tiel's enchanting tradition once again!
Participants are encouraged to dress warmly, bring lanterns or other light sources for added ambiance, and join in creating a festive atmosphere as you walk through the heart of Tiel under the stars.
Join us for an unforgettable night filled with warmth, community spirit, and plenty of magical moments. See you there!
