Come for the race, stay for the beer!

Death Ridge Brewery and Verdun Adventure Bound present the 5th annual The Dead of Summer 6K. The XC course begins and ends at Death Ridge Brewery and includes a significant portion of the Verdun Adventure Bound Cross Country Course. If you keep an eye out, you might actually see some Emu and a Zebra (no, really!) as the course cuts through a neighbor's property.

Cross Country 6K
Why 6K? Because that's how an easy to follow and naturally flowing course measured out. We could have made it a 5K, but it wouldn't be as fun. 6K is 1000 meters better! NOTE: Course distance is approximate.

Introduction/Supporting
This race is an introduction to the wonderful beer of Death Ridge Brewery, with all race proceeds going to support Verdun Adventure Bound. Verdun is an educational 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to support youth and adult personal growth incorporating experiential learning and stewardship of the land on its 67 acre retreat facility. Prices

$30 pre-registration through 11:00PM July 11th (race day)

$35 on race day at DRB.

Race T-Shirt included for those who pre-reg by June 30th at 11:59AM. We will still collect T-Shirt size info, and will have extra shirts, but they are not guaranteed after the cut-off date.

Race Course
The surface varies from close cut grass to a short section of rough trail and several kilometers of the well groomed trail in Verdun. Verdun has a beautiful cross country course with just enough hills to make it interesting. You will be in and out of the woods, along side two ponds, and over a stream or two (bridged, of course).
