Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run

The Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run returns to Beaufort, South Carolina on October 25th, offering endurance runners a unique challenge in the scenic Lowcountry region of South Carolina. This event has been a staple for ultrarunners since its inception in 2011 and is now entering its fourteenth year in 2026 after moving to Beaufort's Habersham Community.
On race morning, participants will gather at the start line on Springfield Road where they'll take off onto a meticulously maintained trail loop that has been closed to traffic for their safety. The course features lush foliage and wildlife viewing opportunities along its 1.65 mile circuit through dense woods, providing runners with an immersive experience of Beaufort's natural beauty.
Over fourteen years, the Delirium Ultra has become more than just a race; it’s a community event that raises awareness for local causes while fostering camaraderie among participants. With over two thousand miles logged by racers in previous editions and continued support from sponsors and volunteers, this endurance challenge remains an integral part of Beaufort's sporting calendar.
The Delirium Ultra course winds through the Habersham Community on a hard-packed trail loop that is entirely closed to traffic during race hours for safety. The single aid station is strategically placed at the end of each lap, ensuring runners have easy access to necessary supplies and medical assistance throughout their run. "Tent City," set up directly alongside the course path, offers convenient camping options allowing participants to rest without leaving their gear.
