Demi-marathon de McMasterville

The McMasterville Half Marathon and Family Fun Run invites runners of all ages to experience an exhilarating day of racing through the scenic streets of McMasterville. This community-driven event offers four different distances: 1 km for young children, a fun-filled 5 km route, a challenging 10 km course, and the centerpiece half-marathon covering 21.1 kilometers.
The race begins at Constable Boulevard in McMasterville, where participants will find themselves immersed in a vibrant atmosphere with live music, speeches from local dignitaries including the mayor of McMasterville, and an enthusiastic crowd cheering them on throughout their journey. The event starts early morning to ensure runners have ample daylight for each distance: the half-marathon kicks off at 9 am, followed by the 10 km race starting at 10:30 am, the 5 km run beginning promptly at 10:45 am, and finally, a special kids’ event with a one-kilometer dash at noon.
The course itself is designed to be welcoming for all skill levels. The 1 km youth race doesn’t require registration; children simply need to arrive by 11:30 am to participate in the fun run that starts promptly at 11:45 am, complete with snacks and certificates of participation afterward. For those tackling longer distances, expect a mix of paved roads and gravel paths, offering scenic views and minimal elevation changes for an enjoyable yet challenging experience.
Racers will encounter water stations equipped with refreshments such as water, sports drinks, bananas, and energy bars every few kilometers to keep them fueled throughout the race. The route is meticulously marked, making it easy for participants to navigate through three loops of 7 km each for those taking on the half-marathon distance.
Upon crossing the finish line, all runners are greeted with a sense of accomplishment as they receive official timing results via RFID technology embedded in their bibs. Participants will also be awarded medals upon completion and can download certificates from the event website hosted by It's Your Race. Additionally, every racer is treated to post-race snacks and access to race day photos.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up; early bird pricing starts at $32 for the 5 km run, increasing incrementally as deadlines approach until final registration costs reach a maximum of $85 for the half-marathon distance. Race organizers remind participants that all registrations are non-refundable and cannot be transferred once purchased.
Safety is paramount during this event; medical services will be on-site throughout race day to ensure everyone’s well-being, while an insurance policy covers civil liability should any accidents occur. The race concludes with awards ceremonies for the top three male and female finishers in each distance category, as well as a celebratory podium at noon.
