DESAFIO DOS FORTES - EDIÇÃO 21KM

Experience the inaugural edition of Niterói's Desafio dos Fortes on November 29, 2026, featuring two challenging distances: a solo or relay option for 21 kilometers and a shorter 5-kilometer race. The event kicks off at Praça Duque de Caxias in Gragoatá, near the historic Forte Gragoatá, with runners finishing on Piratininga Beach.
The 21km route offers an unforgettable journey through Niterói's coastal and historical landmarks, culminating in a unique relay experience within the walls of Forte Barão do Rio Branco. Participants will navigate scenic stretches along the coastline, passing by iconic forts that tell stories of the city’s rich past. On this crisp autumn morning, runners will start at 6:00 AM for the solo and relay categories, with a more relaxed pace beginning at 6:30 AM for those tackling the shorter distance.
