Dive into the unique landscapes of the Noordoostpolder, where what was once part of the Zuiderzee is now lush forests interwoven with vibrant grasslands and babbling brooks. This trail race offers runners an unforgettable experience through diverse ecosystems teeming with flora, fungi, and wildlife. Choose from three distances: 8 km, 15 km, or 30 km, all set beneath sea level in the 'new nature' of Voorsterbos and Waterloopbos forests. The start and finish line are located within the picturesque setting of Netl Parklands, providing a stunning backdrop for this event. Registration is open from December 12 & 13, 2026, through the Cross Duathlon registration form. In addition to navigating beautiful trails filled with natural paths and single tracks, participants will enjoy varied snacks such as sports strips, sweets, bananas, chips, fruit, and more at aid stations along the route. Upon crossing the finish line, runners receive a commemorative medal (free for early birds), a treat from Tony Chocolonely, and a local specialty beer or bio juice. Electronic timing provides personalized video footage, certificate, and interesting statistics to share your achievements with friends and family. A portion of each registration fee goes towards supporting Natuurmonumenten conservation efforts. Registration remains open until December 6, 2026, pending availability. For those unable to pay via iDeal or Bancontact, email info@devilstrail.nl for alternative payment methods including bank transfer details. Runners are encouraged to immerse themselves in the rich natural environment and enjoy a day of scenic trails and rewarding challenges amidst the serene beauty of Noordoostpolder's unique terrain.
