The event begins at Berkenplas, where participants will embark on a scenic journey through Schiermonnikoog’s National Park. The route offers an exhilarating mix of sandy dunes, lush forests, pristine beaches, and single-track trails winding through nature reserves. With the island known for its dark skies and wildlife-rich environment, NightTrail 10 km promises to be both challenging and breathtakingly beautiful. Participants can look forward to a well-lit course with clear markings guiding them along their journey. The event includes various forms of nourishment such as sports tape, sweets, bananas, chips, fruit, and more, ensuring runners are fueled throughout the run. Upon crossing the finish line, athletes will receive an official finisher's medal and be greeted by Tony Chocolonely chocolate bars. In addition to these perks, there is a locally crafted beer or bio juice available for all participants at the end of their journey. The event also features electronic timing with personalized video footage, certificates, and interesting statistics that capture every aspect of your run. A portion of each registration fee goes towards supporting Schiermonnikoog National Park.
