Dirt for Dinner Community Ride

This non-competitive event is designed to bring together riders of all skill levels under one banner, fostering camaraderie around bikes, food justice, and community engagement.
Participants will join a leisurely group ride through Central Vermont’s trail system—specifically chosen for its diverse terrain. The exact starting point remains confidential until closer to the date, adding an element of mystery and adventure as riders prepare their gear and spirits alike.
The event kicks off on Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 AM with a relaxed atmosphere that encourages exploration at your own pace. Riders can select routes based on personal comfort or challenge, making every journey uniquely yours. Upon completion, gather at the trailhead for post-ride refreshments and engaging conversations.
Supporting three local nonprofits is an integral part of this community-focused gathering:
- Salvation Farms focuses on food recovery, gleaning, and surplus distribution.
- The Intervale Center champions farmer support, land stewardship, and sustainable local food systems.
