The journey begins in Leighton Buzzard, a charming market town steeped in history and surrounded by lush greenery. Participants will start with an anti-clockwise lap around the serene Tiddenfoot Waterside Park before embarking on a scenic route along the Grand Union Canal towpath. The trail winds through Stoke Hammond, offering panoramic views of rolling hills blanketed in autumn foliage.
As runners continue northward, they'll encounter challenging ascents and descents as they climb through picturesque countryside towards Great Brickhill. This section provides an opportunity to soak up the vibrant colors that only autumn can offer while testing endurance on varied terrain.
The race then takes a turn into Rushmere Country Park's dense woodland, where runners will enjoy a peaceful run amidst towering trees casting dappled shadows across the path. After this tranquil stretch, participants will follow the Greensand Ridge back towards Leighton Buzzard, retracing their steps along the canal towpath and completing a clockwise lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park to finish strong.
