About the Event

Every kid gets a medal. That's the rule. The Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run returns to Open Hearth Park in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Activities start at 9:30 AM. The run starts at 10:00 AM. Three distances: 4 km, 2 km, and the Tiny Tot Trot for preschool‑age children. Presented by the Cape Breton Fiddlers Marathon and Cape Breton University.

Tiny Tot Trot
Preschool‑age children • Parents/guardians must stay with child at all times

Finisher Medal: Every child receives a medal after crossing the finish line, regardless of distance or placement.

Caregiver Support: Watch from the sidelines, or register yourself as a support person to run alongside your child on the 2 km or 4 km route.

Location: Open Hearth Park, 190 Ferry St, Sydney, NS B1P 0B9.
