The Dooker's Dash – A Community Celebration of All Ages!

Get ready for an inclusive and exciting day at the Dooker’s Dash! This year’s event offers a variety of races to cater to all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out with your little ones, there's something special waiting for everyone.
Children and Young People's Races
Our younger racers will find routes that are flat, safe, and full of energy. We’ve designed quieter, wider areas specifically for children who need more space to feel comfortable and confident on the course. It’s all about ensuring every child has a positive experience while enjoying the fun atmosphere.
5km - Scenic Route or Double Up Challenge
For those looking for an extra challenge, this route starts at Garval Point, winds through Tarbert harbour's stunning scenery, and finishes by the marina. Choose to run 5 kilometers once, or double up and complete a full 10 kilometers of flat terrain that offers picturesque views along the way.
Every Participant Gets a Medal & Goody Bag
We believe every participant is a winner at Dooker’s Dash! All runners will receive a medal upon completion and a goody bag filled with surprises to celebrate their achievement.
After the Race – Join Us at Tarbert Bowling Club!
The celebration continues after you cross the finish line. Head over to the Tarbert Bowling Club for an afternoon of fun activities:
- Try your hand at lawn bowls
- Give pickleball or tennis a try
- Shoot some hoops on the basketball court
Enjoy food, refreshments, music, and great company while we present male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. We also award our first local prize to encourage community spirit.
Race Categories, Times & Locations
Warm up from 10:30am at the harbour marquee:
- 10km Race (Ages 16–100+) – £30
- 5km Race (Ages 16–100+) – £25
- 1km Race (Ages 8–15) - £8
Warm up from 12:30pm at the MUGA:
- Dashing Dookers (School Age, Accessible Route) - £8
- 200m Race (Ages 5–7) – £8
- Toddler Dash (0–4 years) – £8
