Dorset Gravel Dash 100 mile 2027

The Kinesis UK Dorset Gravel Dash 100 is an iconic self-supported gravel adventure established back in 2014, offering riders a unique blend of rugged terrain and stunning coastal scenery. This challenging yet rewarding ride takes place on the Isle of Purbeck around Swanage, allowing cyclists to explore the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The event spans approximately 152 kilometers with over 2,000 meters of elevation gain, weaving through singletrack trails, gravel paths, forestry roads, and public routes. Participants must navigate using an electronic route map provided before race day as there are no marked course signs; riders are solely responsible for their own navigation.
Registration is open on Sunday, May 25th from 7:00 AM at the Square & Compass in Worth Matravers. All entrants are required to attend a mandatory rider briefing at 7:30 AM where they will receive essential information and safety guidelines. The event itself starts promptly at 8:00 AM on Sunday, May 29th, with riders finishing by the evening back at the Square & Compass.
Entry fees for this year's race are £50 per participant. Cyclists can choose from mountain bikes or gravel bikes equipped with tires of a minimum size of 40mm in excellent condition. E-bikes are also welcome provided they meet road legal requirements and have sufficient battery capacity to complete the course within one day.
