DRURIDGE BAY BEACH TRAIL RUNS

Druridge Bay Beach-Trail Runs 2027 promises an unforgettable running experience along Northumberland's stunning coastline. Nestled within Druridge Bay Country Park, this beloved annual event returns for its sixth year, offering runners of all levels a scenic and challenging course.
Starting from the picturesque shores of Druridge Bay, participants will traverse paths, trails, and sandy stretches that wind through the park’s lush landscapes. The flat terrain and breathtaking coastal views make it one of the most cherished trail runs in the North East region each year.
In addition to its established 10km and half marathon distances for runners aged 15 and older, this edition introduces a brand new 5km route designed specifically for newcomers to trail running. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, there's a distance that suits everyone’s pace and stamina.
The event is also welcoming to Canicross enthusiasts, allowing one controlled dog per participant to join in the fun alongside their human companions.
Scheduled start times are set at 10am for the 10km race, followed by the half marathon starting at 10.15am, with the new 5km route kicking off at 10.30am.
Participants will enjoy live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North to capture their performance accurately and efficiently.
Upon crossing the finish line, all runners are rewarded with an event medal and a selection of wild deer-themed merchandise from local artisans. A snack and drink station is also available for refueling post-race.
For those interested in commemorating the day, T-shirts can be purchased during registration at £14 each.
Parking fees must be paid by participants; options include payment via machines on-site or through the PayByPhone app.
