Join us for the 10th anniversary of the Dundee University Aquathlon at one of Scotland's premier academic institutions. This year’s event promises to be as exhilarating and inclusive as ever, welcoming swimmers and runners from all walks of life.
The race consists of a challenging 750-meter swim followed by an invigorating 5.1-kilometer run across the picturesque University of Dundee campus. With its blend of academic buildings, green spaces, and modern facilities, the setting is both inspiring and competitive.
Registration will take place at the Pavement Cafe starting from 11:00 a.m., with check-in closing 45 minutes before your designated heat begins. Participants can expect comprehensive race briefings via email 24 hours prior to the event as well as an on-site briefing day-of, ensuring everyone is fully prepared.
Competitors will be treated to a range of age categories: juniors (17-19), seniors (20-39), veterans (40-49), super veterans (50-59), and vintage (60+). Each group will compete for medals, prizes, and the prestigious overall event title. Prize presentations will be held at DUSA Union immediately after the race.
Toilets are conveniently located in both the DUSA Union building and ISE Pool, with changing facilities and lockers available near the pool area. Participants should note that we cannot take responsibility for unattended personal items or those left in lockers.
Parking is accessible throughout campus, particularly around the Dalhousie Building on Hunter Street and behind the main ISE building. Charges apply at these locations; detailed information can be found here: https://www.dundee.ac.uk/travel/parking/
A photographer will capture memorable moments from the day for use in promotional materials across our social media channels, including Instagram (@dundeetri). If you prefer not to have your photo taken, please inform us upon registration.

Refund Policy:
- Up to 30 days before the event: Full refund (minus card processing fees)
- Between 14 and 30 days prior to the race: 50% refund (minus fees)
- Within 14 days, a full refund will only be issued if another competitor on the waiting list can fill your space. No refunds are provided after the event’s closing date.
Please note that swim times cannot be altered within seven days of the competition; accuracy in submissions is crucial for efficient scheduling.
