Trollhättan City Trail

A cross-country race in central Trollhättan that started in 2016. Starting from Folkets Park, we head south via Hansenplatsen along the ravine on winding paths and up heart-pounding stairs to the lowest lock. There we turn back up towards Hansenplatsen and through the city to Folkets Park again, where the finish line also takes place after the run. Along the way, we pass sights such as Kopparklinten, Gamle dal, several locks, Olidan and Kungsgrottan. So lace up your off-road shoes and discover new trails in Trollhättan City Trail! Enjoy the beautiful nature and heart-pumping terrain.

New for this year is that the 14km race is a sub-distance in the Outnorth Trail Tour!

Trollhättan Mini Trail - Children's Race

Trollhättan Mini Trail is the race for the little ones, 0-12 years old. No timing, no competition, no pressure.

Trollhättan City Trail - Half Marathon+. 22.5km.

We received a very good response to the longer course with the same character as the original course so it will remain in 2026. Down at the locks you take an extra loop in the area on the other side of the canal with the same variation in the surface, twisty paths, varying hilly terrain and several stairs.

Trollhättan City Trail - Original. 14km.

The same route as the original course with the difference that you start and finish at Folkets Park so the route is a little longer because of that. This year this route is included as a sub-stage in the Outnorth trail tour!

Trollhättan City Trail - Light. 8.5km.

A simpler route that takes you from Folkets Park towards Hansenplatsen and an easier round here before turning back to Folkets Park again. Walk, jog or run - everyone can join!

Trollhättan City Tail - With your dog as company!

This year too, together with MIM-safe, we can offer our own starting classes for running with a dog!

Both the shorter 8.5km and 14km distances can also be started with a dog on a leash. There will be a separate starting group after the others have set off. For those who want to walk, the shorter 8.5km distance is chosen, but you choose whether you want to walk, jog or run. For those with more running in their legs with their dog, you can choose the 14km distance for a little more challenge.
