Immerse yourself in the vibrant coastal charm of El Gouna for the Red Sea's most anticipated running spectacle: The El Gouna Half Marathon. Since its inception in 2019, this annual race has garnered international recognition and attracted over a thousand runners from more than fifty countries each year. The event offers four distinct distance options to cater to all levels of athletes—5K, 10K, the challenging 21K half marathon, and an engaging 1K kids' race for children aged 5-10. All races begin at Abu Tig Marina in El Gouna's bustling heart before venturing into a scenic tour through some of Egypt’s most picturesque landscapes. Runners will navigate past vibrant Downtown El Gouna with its lively cafes, charming boutiques, and the serene Golf Course. The route also takes participants along Kite Centre Road where the salty sea breeze provides an invigorating backdrop to your run. Each kilometre offers a unique glimpse of this coastal paradise, making it not just a race but an exploration. Organized by The TriFactory—Egypt's leading event management company—in collaboration with El Gouna Red Sea and Orascom Development, the marathon is sanctioned under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports. It adheres to strict international standards overseen by the Egyptian Athletics Federation, ensuring a safe and well-organized race for all participants. Join runners from around the globe on Saturday, November 21st, 2026, as they lace up their shoes and take to the streets of El Gouna. Don’t miss out on an unforgettable day celebrating sport, community, and the beauty of this Red Sea gem. Sign up now and be part of #RunElGouna!
