Costumes Optional, Smiles are Not!
The Enchanted 6 Hour will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, starting at 8:30 am and continuing until 2:30 pm. This event is perfect for training, as the Enchanted 6 Hour serves as excellent preparation for the upcoming Forgotten 9 Hour on Saturday, May 16, which leads into the Centurion 33 Hour on June 27/28, 2026, where participants can earn a 100-mile buckle. Over the course, you can choose to complete as many miles or hours as you wish on the single and double track, featuring the typical New England trails of roots, rocks, and rolling hills—all reminiscent of the magical experience of in the enchanted forest.
The race begins at 8:30 am, with an irregular loop course measuring 2.3 miles per lap, boasting an elevation gain of 191 feet with its rolling hills. Course markings will include pink flags and white signs, ensuring you won't get lost along the way.
We'll provide excellent ultra hydration and a variety of foods, including pizza options around noon, such as the unique pickle pizza, proudly sponsored by Athletic Brewing Company! Embracing the spirit of fun, Enchanted's motto is: 'Costumes Optional, Smiles are Not!' This makes it an ideal trail race for beginner trail runners, and we're excited to welcome you to the Roosevelt Forest trails. Happy trails and safe travels!
Bibs/Packet Pickup
Roosevelt Forest, known for its beautiful trails, is located at the GPS address of 700 Peters Lane, Stratford, CT. Pickup for the event starts at 7 am at the pavilion, which also serves as the single aid station. The race begins at 8:30 am. Since the parking lot is small, we recommend parking 'comfortably' close, with larger vehicles directed to the side lot (no RVs allowed). Each participant will have a 'chip' bib to register every lap, making it a great experience for those looking to enjoy hours in the enchanted forest, whether you're visiting the Enchanted Forest park or just exploring the Roosevelt Forest trails.
Awards and Medallions
Podium awards are given for the most miles achieved by the end of the race at 2:30 pm.. Top three Women and Top Three Men receive podium awards. Additionally, anyone completing over 4 hours during the 6 hours in the Enchanted Rorest will receive an Enchanted Ultra Event Medallion. This event takes place near the enchanted forest park, which is a perfect spot for participants to enjoy the scenic Roosevelt Forest trails.
Charities
Numerous diversified charities receive support from each of the Roosevelt Forest Ultras, including the Forest Commission, Veterans Museum, and Library, among others, all while celebrating the spirit of the hours in the enchanted forest, which is a delightful experience for visitors to the enchanted forest park and the scenic Roosevelt Forest trails.
Final Notes
To maintain the competitive integrity of the event, registration is final. Please understand that there are absolutely no refunds, bib transfers, or race deferrals for any reason. CDC/State/Town requirements are strictly applied. You must be at least 18 years old or have a Parental/Guardian signed waiver. This Ultra event is limited to 40 participants and 10 invitation-only participants, making it a unique experience unlike the typical 200 to 400 participants. This is your chance for a personal race to achieve your personal best in a magical setting. Run, jog, hike, walk, or crawl along the Roosevelt Forest trails, as you have up to 6 hours to do your best! Remember to keep an eye out for the pixies, trolls, and unicorns along the way.
