Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Lower Engadine, this trail running festival offers runners an array of challenging yet rewarding routes through pristine alpine terrain. The ALVETERN Trail spans 48 kilometers with over 3,300 meters of elevation gain, presenting a formidable challenge to ambitious and experienced athletes seeking an adrenaline-pumping adventure. This route features two mountain summits and awe-inspiring ridge crossings that showcase the region's natural beauty.
For those looking for something slightly less strenuous but equally scenic, the ENZIANA Trail offers 22 kilometers of picturesque hiking trails with a total elevation gain of 1,300 meters. Runners will traverse through vibrant mountain spring landscapes adorned with colorful flora and framed by imposing peaks, providing a serene yet exhilarating experience.
NEW LA MOTTA is designed for runners who enjoy the thrill of ascending challenging terrain while still appreciating stunning vistas. This route covers 14 kilometers from Scuol via Vastur to Larschs along scenic hiking trails before reaching Jonvrai. From there, participants continue through the Motta Naluns ski area and finish at the mountain station with a significant elevation gain.
The FLURINA Trail caters to beginners, groups, and families looking for an accessible yet engaging experience in Scuol. Spanning 6 kilometers with a descent of 450 meters, this route begins by taking the mountain railway up to the summit before returning via foot and chairlift back down to Scuol. Ideal for very young children, it offers a family-friendly option amidst stunning alpine surroundings.
Participants will immerse themselves in the Lower Engadine's unspoiled landscape, enjoying breathtaking views at every turn while testing their limits on challenging yet rewarding terrain.
