Enjoy Relay Marathon at Tamagawa (December 6) (エンジョイリレーマラソン@多摩川【12月6日開催】)

A half-marathon relay on the Tamagawa riverside in Kawasaki's Takatsu Ward, built around a 1 km lap so that beginners can join in. Teams of 2 to 21 people share the 21.1 km total, and the distance, number of turns and running order are all free, which lets fast and slow runners share a team. The entry fee is 3,500 yen per person, children of elementary and junior high age need a guardian with them, and the team representative must be 20 or older.
Before the start, running trainer Kenji Torimitsu of Fitness Running leads a warm-up and a short lesson on running form. The day also includes a big rock-paper-scissors tournament with prizes open to all participants regardless of results, and a costume runner category with a prize for the best-dressed team.
