EURAFRICA TRAIL GRAN SENDA DE MALAGA 2026

Nestled at the intersection where the Río Guadiaro flows through half its length and borders the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga, lies Estación de Gaucín. This quaint village will serve as the starting point for our second event in 2025, offering runners an unforgettable journey along the rugged terrain that defines this unique corner of Spain.
The route winds through a diverse landscape where limestone cliffs meet dense forests, providing challenges and rewards alike to all types of runners. Technical sections with rocky outcrops alternate seamlessly with swift stretches on well-maintained trails, ensuring there's something for every runner’s skill set.
A highlight of the course is its passage along the banks of the Río Guadiaro, known locally as "the river of gold." Runners will pass through iconic spots such as the Buitrera Canyon and traverse numerous cork oak forest paths between Estación de Gaucín and Cortes de la Frontera. The combination of natural beauty and historical significance makes this route a true gem for runners.
For the first time in Eurafrica, our 10th edition will feature an evening race segment along these scenic trails, casting the rugged terrain under the glow of moonlight. This unique experience offers participants the chance to run through the heart of Andalusia's natural parks after dark, a rare and enchanting opportunity that combines the thrill of competition with the serene beauty of night.
