The Exmoor Beast offers runners three distinct challenges across the rugged and scenic landscapes of Exmoor: the 100-mile grand adventure, the formidable 65-mile journey, and the more accessible yet still demanding 42-mile route. Each course features a climb to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in both Exmoor and Somerset, providing breathtaking views from its summit.
The event begins and concludes at Wimbleball Lake, where participants can camp overnight if needed. All routes are clearly marked with comprehensive support along the way, including well-stocked feed stations, mechanical assistance for those who might need it, and medical services to ensure safety throughout the race day.
Competitors will benefit from electronic chip timing that records their official completion times. Upon crossing the finish line, runners receive a bronze, silver, or gold medal based on their performance level, celebrating their achievement in this challenging yet rewarding event.
The Exmoor Beast is designed for endurance athletes seeking to push their limits while enjoying the natural beauty of England's wild and historic landscapes.
