The Fast Track Trail Race returns to George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, Iowa on September 26, 2026, inviting runners of all levels to explore the park’s well-maintained dirt single-track trails. This event, now in its fifth year, offers a scenic and challenging course that winds through dense woods, expansive prairies, and along picturesque lakefront sections within the state park.

Since its inception in 2018, the Fast Track Trail Race has become an integral part of Waterloo’s running community calendar. Aid station support is limited but strategically placed at the start/finish area and the beginning of the second loop for longer-distance participants. Runners are advised to carry their own hydration and nutrition as on-course provision can be minimal; however, water, electrolyte options, and fuel choices will still be available.
