Feast and Feathers Trail Races was born out of a desire to have a half marathon on Thanksgiving morning that would contribute to the Omaha community in a direct way. *One-hundred percent* of the proceeds from the race will benefit Food Bank for the Heartland (https://foodbankheartland.org/). The courses will have something for every level of runner. We want you to kick off your Thanksgiving holiday with breaking a sweat and lifting your heart. Since 2012, Feast and Feathers has donated over $364,000 and 25,000 pounds of food.

Omaha had a population of 486,051 at the 2020 census, and with a 2025 population estimate of 488,797, it is the 42nd-most populous U.S. city. The eight-county Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area extending into Iowa has approximately 1 million residents, the 55th-largest metropolitan area in the U.S. It is the county seat of Douglas County.
