Feet for Justice Run

About the Event

The Feet for Justice Run returns to Denver, Colorado on November 1st, bringing together runners of all ages in a powerful community event against human trafficking. This annual run offers both an in-person experience at City Park and the option to participate virtually from anywhere around the world. Participants can choose between the invigorating 5K or the longer 10K route, each meticulously certified by USATF for accuracy and fairness.
City Park sets a serene backdrop for the Feet for Justice Run as autumn leaves begin their gentle descent across Denver's landscape. The crisp November air carries with it not just cooler temperatures but also a palpable sense of community spirit. As runners lace up at sunrise on race day, they are surrounded by familiar faces from past years and newcomers eager to join in the cause. Whether navigating winding paths or straight stretches along park trails, each step taken represents a commitment to justice.
The Feet for Justice Run has been an integral part of Denver's social conscience since its inception several years ago. Hundreds gather annually to take strides against human trafficking through this meaningful event that raises funds and awareness equally. Race organizers distribute t-shirts emblazoned with the cause’s emblem, creating visual solidarity among participants as they traverse City Park’s scenic pathways. Awards are given out not just for speed but also creativity—prizes go to teams based on size, attire, and overall teamwork. Each year, runners from all walks of life come together here under a shared purpose.

The Feet for Justice Run features two certified distances: the 10K offers an extended journey through City Park’s diverse terrain while the 5K provides a more compact yet equally impactful route within the park's lush confines. Both courses are designed to be fast and flat, ensuring that runners can focus on their performance without undue strain from elevation changes.
Participants will start near Denver's iconic City Park Lake, with staggered waves at dawn to accommodate all registrants. The course is lined with aid stations every few kilometers where water and snacks replenish energy levels as needed. Spectators line the paths in support of runners, adding an extra layer of community engagement and encouragement throughout.
Given November’s temperate climate, runners can expect cool mornings that gradually warm up through midday. Temperatures typically hover around 5 degrees Celsius with a chill factor lowering perceived warmth further due to average windspeeds blowing at about six kilometers per hour. Humidity levels remain moderate without significant precipitation expected on race day, ensuring firm yet slightly soft trail conditions underfoot.
Registration for the Feet for Justice Run is now open through https://runsignup.com/Race/CO/Denver/JusticeRun where participants can select their preferred distance and secure a spot in this vital community event. The 10K costs $35 while entry to the 5K is priced at $30; virtual runners also have an option for $35 allowing them to participate remotely. Early bird discounts apply until October, so act fast to lock in savings.
Bib pickup will take place on-site near City Park Lake a week before race day from 9 AM to 6 PM daily. Be sure to bring photo ID and proof of registration upon arrival. Race morning starts at dawn with staggered waves; participants should arrive early enough to warm up comfortably prior to their wave start time.
The Feet for Justice Run in Denver, Colorado on November 1st invites runners from across the country to take part in a meaningful cause that supports local non-profits fighting human trafficking both domestically and internationally. Join us as we collectively make strides towards justice under blue skies over City Park’s scenic trails.
