Fierce and Fabulous, Fernie Femmduro invites you to experience the best of mountain biking in Fernie. This enduro event is designed for self-identifying women and non-binary riders who are ready to push their limits while enjoying every moment. Located within Mount Fernie Provincial Park, this race offers a unique blend of technical challenges and breathtaking scenery. The Long Course, stretching approximately 21 kilometers with an elevation gain of around 1,350 meters, is perfect for intermediate to expert riders seeking the ultimate test on Fernie's iconic terrain. The route features four stages filled with challenging descents and steep climbs that showcase the park’s rugged beauty. One standout stage includes a blue-tech blind section that will be revealed just before race day. For those building confidence or new to enduro racing, the Short Course offers 15 kilometers of thrilling trails with an elevation gain of about 800 meters across three stages. This course still packs a punch but is designed for riders who want to enjoy every bit of fun and style that mountain biking has to offer. Participants will find themselves surrounded by supportive energy between race stages, as the community comes together in social and celebratory atmosphere. The event encourages serious time splits alongside a touch of mascara—pushing limits while having an amazing time is what it’s all about here. Femmduro is organized by Anything Goes Event Series in collaboration with the Fernie Trails Alliance, ensuring that every aspect caters to riders’ needs. Local female riders lead the charge, making this event not just competitive but deeply personal and empowering. Race Day kicks off on Sunday, September 27th, starting at 9:45 AM for the Long Course Elite E-Bike category with subsequent starts for all other categories. The finish line festivities begin at noon, offering a DJ, entertainment, and an awards presentation before venue closure at 4:30 PM. Entry fees are $130 for adults (including taxes and processing) or $70 for juniors under 18 years old, with the latter encouraged to participate in the Short Course. Riders aged 18 and over can choose from categories like Junior Women, Open Women, Open Non-Binary, Master Women 50+, Adaptive Women, and E-Bike Women (Long Course Only). For those looking for a smoother transition into racing, the Long Course offers four timed stages with trails rated from blue to black. The Short Course provides three timed sections, also ranging in difficulty but perfecting your skills. The event includes race entry, professional timing, well-marked courses, and certified first aid throughout. Stoke Stations will be available on course for hydration and tasty snacks, while a complimentary post-race meal awaits after the finish line celebrations. Remember to complete the RCR Event Release Agreement before registration—competitors 16 years and older must do so alone, while those under 15 need both their own agreement and parental consent. Secure your spot in this exhilarating event by registering early for maximum refund options until September 10th.
