Findlay 5K and Fun Walk

The Findlay 5K and Fun Walk returns to Clinton, Pennsylvania on August 14th, bringing the community together for a day of fitness and fun at the heart of the Fair in the Woodlands. Clinton Park is known for its lush greenery and meandering trails that wind around the neighborhood's landmarks. On race day, early morning light filters through the dense foliage as temperatures begin to rise, promising a comfortable run under clear skies. The park’s surroundings exude an air of anticipation—children playing in nearby playgrounds add a layer of vibrant energy to the event atmosphere. Cyclists and dog walkers also contribute to the lively backdrop, making this race day a true community affair.
The Findlay 5K has been a cherished tradition for over two decades now, growing from its humble beginnings into an essential part of Clinton’s summer calendar. Last year saw nearly three hundred participants crossing the finish line, with many more joining in the Fun Walk to enjoy the scenic route within the park itself. Awards are given out generously: top male and female runners receive trophies, while age group winners earn medals that celebrate their achievements. The event also recognizes local pride by awarding a special prize to the best Findlay Township resident finisher, fostering a sense of community among residents.

For those who opt for the Fun Walk, a shorter but equally enjoyable route awaits inside the park boundaries without crossing Route 30.
Timing services are provided by Miles of Smiles Timing Service, known for their reliability and accuracy in capturing every participant's performance data. Aid stations along the course offer essential hydration to keep runners going strong throughout the event.
As August’s weather typically brings pleasant conditions with temperatures ranging between 14.6°C and 25.1°C, participants can expect a comfortable run under mostly sunny skies. The air remains fresh due to moderate humidity levels around 74%, making it ideal for those looking forward to an outdoor challenge without the worries of oppressive heat or heavy rain.

Registration is now open at https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/Clinton/Findlay5KandFunWalk, with fees set at $20.00 per participant for the 5K and $10.00 for the Fun Walk. Early bird pricing ends on July 31st, when t-shirts are guaranteed upon registration. Packet pick-up is available Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Blue Bird Pavilion or Friday afternoon starting from 5:30pm onwards at Oriole Pavilion.
The start location for both events is Clinton Park’s main entrance off Route 30, and all participants must be aged five years old or above. Participants are advised to bring a valid photo ID when picking up their race packets and to arrive early on the day of the event to ensure smooth entry into the park.
