Dave Wrights Colchester 15 and 7.5 mile

Dave Wrights Colchester Race Series offers runners two scenic options for their Sunday morning run: a challenging 15-mile course and a more manageable 7.5-mile loop, both set against the backdrop of Essex's tranquil countryside.
The race starts promptly at 9:15am on March 21st, 2027, with registration opening an hour earlier for participants to get settled before the event begins. The route takes runners through picturesque villages such as Langham and Boxted, offering a peaceful escape from urban life. Each lap of the course is designed to showcase the beauty of rural Essex while providing athletes with well-maintained roads that are ideal for racing.
Competitors can look forward to receiving tangible recognition for their efforts; top male and female finishers in both races will be awarded trophies, as will teams consisting of three members who achieve the best combined time. This not only encourages individual excellence but also fosters a spirit of camaraderie among participants.
Race HQ is situated at the Langham Community Centre on School Road, where all necessary facilities are available for runners and spectators alike, including toilets and ample parking space. However, there's no bag drop service provided, so athletes should plan accordingly if they need to leave personal items behind during the race.
Entry fees cover the cost of a finisher’s medal upon crossing the line, while those interested in commemorating their participation can opt for an additional £15 fee to secure a tech t-shirt or vest. Confirmation emails will be sent out after online registration closes on March 8th, ensuring participants have all necessary details well before race day.
For runners who prefer to register on-site, numbers are available from 8:00am at the Community Centre until 8:45am when collection ends. On-the-day entries may still be possible but come with no guarantees of receiving a medal or t-shirt as these items will have been ordered in advance for all registered participants.
