The Flatrock | Georgia event returns to Dacula, Georgia on October 17th, offering runners a choice of distances in the heart of Southeastern trails. This year’s race includes options for both experienced ultrarunners and beginners looking to tackle their first trail challenge. The races start at Luke Edwards Road in Dacula, with all participants embarking from this central location.
On race morning, expect clear skies and comfortable temperatures as runners gather around 7:30am to prepare for the day’s activities. With an average temperature of about 17°C (62°F), conditions are ideal for early start times, making it easy for competitors to navigate the undulating terrain without overheating or freezing.
The event has been a tradition in Dacula since its inception and continues to attract runners from across Georgia who value community over commercialism. Previous years have seen around 300 participants each year, with funds raised supporting local youth education initiatives. Early registration is highly recommended to secure your place in this year's event. Bib pickup will take place on October 15th and 16th from 9am-7pm at the Dacula Community Center located next door to Luke Edwards Road, where all participants are required to bring photo ID for verification.
Participants should report to the start line situated at 2995 Luke Edwards Rd Dacula, GA 30019 on race day by no later than 6:45am. Age requirements apply; runners must be aged 18 and older unless accompanied by a guardian or parent running alongside them in the event.
