About the Event
Welcome to the FLMG Ride, an exhilarating cycling event that promises to bring together cyclists of all kinds for one unforgettable day. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Fläming region on September 19, 2026, this ride offers a variety of distances ranging from 38 kilometers up to 148 kilometers, catering to both casual riders and seasoned pros. The event features an exciting new addition: the Gravelstrecke powered by Kies & Kehle. This off-road segment adds an extra layer of adventure for those who enjoy challenging terrain beyond paved roads. Cyclists will have access to well-marked routes, ensuring a smooth experience as they navigate through this diverse landscape. Registration begins at 8:30 AM in the Feldbinder Kantine, with waves starting between 10 and 11 AM. Participants can choose their own start time within that window if they prefer not to join the main group ride. The event is designed around community spirit rather than competition; there's no formal timing system, just a shared joy of cycling in beautiful surroundings. The venue for this year’s FLMG Ride will be at Feldbinder Spezialfahrzeugwerke GmbH on Belziger Straße 1 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The event is open to all types of bicycles, though road and gravel bikes are recommended due to the variety of terrain covered during the ride. Participants can expect a range of refreshments along the route including tea, water, fruit, cookies, chocolate, and other treats to keep energy levels up as they pedal through this scenic region. The event also includes awards for teams with the highest combined strength (FlämKings, FlämQueens, or FlämCrew), recognizing both male and female riders who have been part of the ride since its inception. The RSV Lutherstadt Wittenberg e.V., a cycling club founded nearly three decades ago, organizes this event. Known for fostering youth development in cycling alongside broadening participation across all age groups, they aim to continue their legacy by hosting another successful FLMG Ride that celebrates camaraderie and the love of cycling.
