About the Event

The Florida State Championship Cycling Event is set to provide an exhilarating day for cyclists of all ages and categories. The race, held on the scenic roads of Central Florida, promises a challenging yet rewarding experience with diverse routes tailored to meet the needs of various participants.
Starting at 9:00 am, junior riders aged 9-14 will tackle a 6-mile route, weaving through the picturesque landscapes that characterize this region. At 9:30 am, both masters and women's categories join in the competition—ranging from those in their late fifties to seasoned adults who have mastered the art of cycling.
The event is meticulously organized with separate waves for each category to ensure a smooth start and finish process. The 20-mile route designed for seniors aged 65 and over, women in categories 4/5, masters women 50 and older, juniors between 15-18 years, and Merckx age groups will offer a mix of challenging climbs and winding paths that showcase the natural beauty around.
For those seeking a longer challenge, the adult category not listed above has reserved a more extensive 24-mile route. This wave starts at 10:30 am to allow ample time for all participants to warm up and prepare themselves mentally and physically.
Notably absent this year is the team time trial event, focusing instead on individual performances across various categories. The race will culminate in an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendly competition, celebrating the spirit of cycling among enthusiasts from within Florida.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early to familiarize themselves with the course and enjoy the pre-race activities planned around this prestigious championship title opportunity.
