Forever "15" 5K & Fun Run/Walk

Join us on October 24, 2026, for the "Forever 15" Suicide Awareness & Prevention Event at Woodshed Smokehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. This community-driven initiative honors Averie James, a young life tragically cut short but deeply cherished by her loved ones and community.
The event kicks off with early packet pickup options: Thursday, October 22nd and Friday, October 23rd from 10am to 6pm at The Runner Shop in Pantego. Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM on the morning of the race itself.
Participants can choose between a competitive 5K run/walk (8:00 AM start) or a family-friendly 1-mile fun walk/run for all ages beginning promptly at 8:05 AM. Both events offer opportunities to celebrate Averie's memory and support mental health initiatives.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up, starting from $30 if registered by September 1st, increasing to $40 after October 1st with race-day registration available for an additional charge of $45. To ensure your event t-shirt, register no later than October 15th; remaining shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Race day features include complimentary soft drinks and refreshments, professional chip timing, and custom finisher medals awarded to all participants. Awards are given for the top three male and female overall winners as well as in age groups across various categories.
