The Forrest RunLIVE FOR TODAY returns to Rice Lake, Wisconsin on September 19th, 2026, supporting a vital cause in the community.
This race offers two options for runners: the 1 Mile Youth Fun Run and the 5K Run/Walk. Both start at designated points within Rice Lake's picturesque Riverside Park, located off Main Street near the town hall. The route takes participants through winding paths lined with trees and along the banks of the tranquil river.
Forrest RunLIVE FOR TODAY has been running for several years now, having raised significant funds to support brain cancer research and help families dealing with this devastating disease. In 2025 alone, over 300 runners participated in various distances, creating a sense of unity and determination that is palpable every year.
The course venue provides a scenic and challenging route for participants. The Youth Fun Run covers a flat yet firm path through the park's main trail system, while the 5K Run/Walk offers a mix of trails with slight elevation changes and soft terrain, making it suitable for runners of all levels.
