The Forth Road Bridge 10K is set to take runners through one of Scotland's most iconic landscapes, starting at North Queensferry Community Centre and finishing at the northern end of the historic Forth Road Bridge on Sunday, August 30, 2026. This UKA-licensed event features an official course measurement for accuracy. Participants must register in advance as there will be no on-the-day sign-ups available; race numbers and timing chips are mailed out approximately one week before the race date by Eventfull. For parking, runners should head to Ferrytoll Park and Ride located at Hope Street, Inverkeithing KY11 1HN. The park-and-ride facility is a short 15-minute walk from North Queensferry Community Centre. To reach the community centre, follow the pavement alongside the motorway toward the Forth Road Bridge until you see stairs to your left just before crossing under it; these lead up into North Queensferry where the community center can be found on your right. There are no changing facilities or showers at the venue, so please plan accordingly and bring a bag if needed. The organizers do not take responsibility for any lost items left unattended in the area. The race begins promptly outside of North Queensferry Community Centre and concludes near the northern end of the Forth Road Bridge. All participants must assemble by 10:20am at the start line, with runners asked to position themselves according to their expected finish times due to space constraints during the initial stages. The course itself is a challenging mix of undulating terrain through North Queensferry and Jamestown before crossing over the bridge's eastern walkway. After navigating an out-and-back section near Jamestown, racers will head down under the Forth Road Bridge via service roads before emerging on its western side to cross back northward toward Fife. Given that this is a road race, runners must adhere strictly to regulations regarding headphones and other personal listening devices; only medically prescribed bone conduction headphones are permitted. Any use of in-ear headphones will result in disqualification from the event. Water stations with recyclable cups will be available along the route for hydration needs during the race. Participants should plan ahead if they require additional water before, during or after their run and bring reusable containers to minimize waste. Upon crossing the finish line, runners are encouraged to clear out of high-speed traffic areas quickly and return via steps under the bridge back toward North Queensferry Community Centre where a post-race buffet awaits. Please note that this event is not suitable for wheelchair participants due to course design limitations. Following the race, an awards ceremony will take place around 12:30pm featuring trophies presented to overall winners as well as age group prizes for male and female competitors. Results from the Forth Road Bridge 10K can be found on both Eventfull's website and Scottish Athletics' official site (www.scottishathletics.org.uk). In case of severe weather conditions such as high winds, which could impact safety over the bridge, race organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event based on guidance from local authorities. Should cancellation occur, participants will have their entry automatically deferred until 2027 unless a refund is requested by the specified deadline. For any questions regarding transfers, withdrawals, or other logistical concerns related to your registration status with Entry Central, please refer directly to Eventfull's user account management tools for handling these matters independently. Transfers are allowed up until Saturday, August 1st, 2026, after which formal withdrawal notices must be submitted without guarantee of refund.
