Foulées du Ried

On September 12, 2026, the Foulées du Ried returns to Muttersholtz with its annual run and walk events aimed at raising funds for "Les enfants de Marthe," an organization dedicated to fighting cancer. This year marks the sixth consecutive year of support from this beloved community event.
Participants can choose between three distances: 5 kilometers, 7 kilometers, or 10 kilometers. The race course winds through a picturesque mix of rural paths, roads, and dikes that offer runners and walkers an intimate glimpse into the unique landscape of the Ried region. For those participating in the walk category, engaging QR code challenges are scattered along each kilometer marker to add an element of fun and interaction.
The event begins at 4:30 PM with a single start point for all participants. Runners should gather under the starting arch fifteen minutes before the race time, while walkers will line up behind designated flags in the same timeframe. Bib collection is available on-site from September 12th between 1:30 PM and 4:15 PM at Place des Fêtes, located halfway between Muttersholtz and Ehnwihr.
Entry fees are set at €10 for individuals aged twelve years or older (with a portion of the proceeds going to "Les enfants de Marthe"), while children under twelve can participate free of charge.
Throughout the course, participants will enjoy two hydration stations along with an additional station upon crossing the finish line. Parking is available until 4:15 PM at Place des Fêtes; afterwards, access via Ehnwihr and Muttersholtz's town hall area will be restricted.
The Maison de la Nature offers post-event showers and toilets for participants to freshen up after their run or walk. Additional portable toilets are also provided on-site along with lockers for secure storage of personal items during the event.
