The Frankfort Police Department "All Abilities" 5K Walk, Run & Wheel for Special Olympics will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM CDT, starting at Breidert Green Park on Kansas Street in downtown Frankfort, IL. This all‑abilities 5 km event is open to walkers, runners, wheelchair racers, hand cyclists, and adaptive participants. Registration opens at 8:00 AM. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

All participants must follow event rules as provided by the organizer. This is the second annual "All Abilities" 5K fundraising event for Special Olympics. Age group awards are given for both Typical Abilities and Special Abilities participants in the following male/female categories: 12 & under, 13‑18, 19‑29, 30‑39, 40‑54, and 55 & older. Participants must be pre‑registered by May 10, 2026 to be guaranteed a race shirt and size.

Special Olympics Illinois transforms the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to realize their full potential in sports and in life. The organization provides free life‑changing opportunities to over 60,000 athletes, coaches, and volunteers across Illinois.
