Freddy Gonzalez Legacy Run 5K

In honor of Lance Corporal Derek Hernandez, 20, of Edinburg, Texas; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California; killed June 6, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

The Freddy Gonzalez Legacy 5K is more than just a race—it is a tribute to Freddy Gonzalez, Derek Hernandez, and all the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

As we come together this Memorial Day weekend, we run not only to remember them but also to ensure their courage, sacrifice, and legacy live on in our hearts and in our community.

Join us on the route, embrace the memories, and let’s run in unity to honor these heroes who gave everything for our freedom.
