Freedom Four

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, the sun will rise over Lake Ellyn Park at 7:30 AM as thousands of runners and walkers gather for the Freedom Four4 Mile Run/Walk. Located at 645 Lenox Road in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, this event is proudly presented by the Glen Ellyn Park District.
The route begins within the scenic grounds of Lake Ellyn Park, offering participants a blend of paved paths and natural trails that meander through lush greenery and past tranquil waterways. As runners progress, they will be treated to stunning views of the lake’s serene waters, framed by mature trees and vibrant wildflowers in full bloom.
