Bentonville's Winter Wonderland 5K returns on December 6, 2025, offering runners an enchanting journey through the city’s charming streets. This annual race begins at Lawrence Plaza, the heart of downtown Bentonville, and weaves its way through picturesque avenues before looping back to the starting point.
Participants can expect a crisp morning with temperatures hovering around 4°C (39°F), coupled with light winds that add an invigorating touch to your run. The cool air promises clear skies, making for ideal racing conditions without any risk of precipitation or extreme weather.
The course is meticulously designed to provide a seamless experience, featuring a mix of paved streets and sidewalks, ensuring minimal elevation changes and accessibility for all runners. A highlight along the route includes the historic Courthouse Square, where veterans line up to cheer on participants as they pass by.
Race day begins at 8:00 am sharp from Lawrence Plaza. Aid stations are strategically placed throughout the course to ensure you stay hydrated and energized during your run. The finish is celebrated with refreshments, adding a festive touch to this community event.
For younger runners, there’s also a Kids K option, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that brings families together in support of veterans and military members.
Register early by November 5th for just $39 at https://raceroster.com/events/2026/109307/winter-wonderland. Late registrations will be accepted on the day of the event, but you'll need to budget an additional $6 per participant.
Bib pickup is available from November 8th to December 5th at Bentonville City Hall with required photo ID and proof of payment. Make sure to dress in layers for the chilly weather; appropriate running gear will ensure a comfortable experience.
